About
Established in 2011, our club was founded by a group of friends who organized casual games in a local park. They formed a team and joined the Vancouver Metro Soccer League with the initial goal of providing an opportunity for people on the "working holiday" visa program to play competitive soccer in the Lower Mainland.
Since then, our club has grown to over 50 members, and we have added a second team. Both teams have progressed through the divisions, and in 2017, we were crowned B.C Provincial Cup Champions. The following year, our A Team was promoted to Division 1, where they currently compete. Our B Team was also promoted that season and recently added the Division 3 Champions title to their list of honors. The Greencaps league home games are typically played on weekends from September to March. Our A Team plays their home games at Trillium Turf, while our B Team plays on Friday nights at Jericho Field. Anyone is welcome to come and watch, and your support is always greatly appreciated. However, please check the fixture list in advance as fixtures are subject to change.
Our team trains together twice a week: on Mondays, the location varies, and on Wednesday evenings at Van Tech Field. Pre-season training starts in July. If you are interested in joining, please reach out to us to prepare for the upcoming season. Until then, we stay true to our roots by gathering weekly for a kick-around in the park. In the meantime be sure to follow us on social media to stay up to date with the latest. |
